Just because the summer is starting to wind down (not so long after finally arriving), that does not mean that Sail YSL is thinking about hibernating. We still have a number of events, trips and courses coming in the rest of 2016:

We will be exhibiting at the Zurich Expat Expo once again at the Zurich Kongresshaus on Sunday 4th Sept. Remember admission is free so why not come along for a chat about what we have to offer or just to say “Hello”.

Our last major trip to Greece for 2016 still has some available spaces. Come and join us in the week of 24 September or the week of 1 October. You can simply sit back and enjoy being wafted around the islands – after all, who can resist a bit of island-hopping?….

…or why not choose to learn a bit more and take a course with us leading to a well-recognised RYA qualification – Competent Crew or, if you’ve already completed your theory, Day Skipper.

You could even go the whole hog and come sailing for the full two weeks.

The high-season crowds have gone, the temperature is more comfortable, the sea is still warm enough for relaxing swimming, and the tavernas are less busy and even more welcoming.

While on the subject of Greece, if you cannot make it this autumn, make a note in your diary now for next year – our first trip of 2017 will be from the end of April into May, exact dates available very soon.

Have you already been bitten by the bug and have ambitions to charter your own yacht? Our Day Skipper theory course is a classroom course leading up to the practical course that we are running in Gibraltar from 29 November. gib1

Day Skipper theory is a 5-day course run over two weekends, requiring only a Friday to be booked off work. The next dates are 29 & 30 Oct and 4, 5, 6 Nov 2016.

N.B. You do not have to do the theory course with us to book the practical, but very sound knowledge of the subjects covered is essential to passing the practical course.

Both these courses are booking up fast so don’t leave it too long to secure your place.

We have a busy late summer and autumn ahead of us and we’d love you to join us. If you’re interested in any of the above, please feel free to drop us a line with any questions or to book info@sail-ysl.ch

See you on Sunday and Yamas!
