I will be running a Day Skipper theory course on the first three weekends in March, i.e. 2-3 March, 9-10 March and 16-17 March. There are just a few places left so if you are interested in taking the course, please contact me as soon as possible. Click here for full information about the Day Skipper course.

I have also had a couple of enquiries for a Yachtmaster theory course, with potential dates in late March and/or early April, as well as a single enquiry for an Essential Navigation and Seamanship course, but one person is not enough to run the course. Do get in touch if you are interested in either of these courses as it would be good to make these courses happen.

Why should you consider doing these courses?

Well, the RYA cruising scheme is the most widely recognised yachting qualification in the world, making Day Skipper the most useful qualification for chartering a yacht for your summer holiday, and Yachtmaster is the qualification that opens the doors both to the marine industry as a profession and to more interesting sailing opportunities.

Sail YSL is the only organisation in Switzerland to offer these courses on a face to face basis with availability all year round. This means you don’t need to take up valuable annual leave just to sit in a classroom for a week, nor do you have the added expense of international travel and accommodation on top of the course fee. Getting on the ladder of the RYA cruising scheme with Sail YSL is the most cost-effective and time-effective way of jump-starting your sailing ambitions.
