ionian dawnSail YSL’s programme of skippered charters to Greece for 2014 is beginning to come together.

Our first trips will be in May 2014, starting on the Saturday or Sunday depending on demand and travel options:

3/4 May 2014
This week the aim is to run a girls’ boat and a boys’ boat. That doesn’t mean the trip would be restricted to singles or single-sex groups of friends – indeed, couples are welcome to come on the trip and share a cabin, it’s just during the day that we will split into single-sex boats. Each boat will be able to take 4 guests, 2 in each double cabin, and we will organise the accommodation according to bookings. One girls’ space has already been booked.
There is also the option to organise attendance on a Day Skipper non-tidal practical course on the following week; the advantage would be that you would already be in “boat mode” and this first week of charter would familiarise you with the waters in advance. If this is of interest, please talk to me as soon as possible.fiskardo

10/11 May 2014
This week will be an ordinary charter week, with space for a total of 4 guests (5 if one is prepared to sleep in the saloon). One space has already been booked.

July 2014
We have also had some firm and less firm enquiries for July trips. Dates for these are not yet finalised, but are likely to be in the school holidays. If you have already discussed the possibility of a July trip with us, please could you confirm asap whether you would like to proceed to a booking, and for which date.
If you have not yet contacted us about a July trip but the idea takes your fancy, you would be well advised to talk to us soon as the summer holidays obviously tend to get booked up quickly.

We normally run a trip in September to avoid the worst of the crowds whilst taking advantage of the late summer warmth. This is a great opportunity for those who are not tied by school term times to enjoy good weather and an exclusively adult group. We are reasonably flexible on dates so if you have a preference, the sooner you contact Sail YSL, the greater the chance of getting precisely the dates you want.

11/12 – 18/19 October 2014 (half-term)
This year’s half term trip was an immense success; most of the crowds had left the area, giving us more opportunity to stay out for longer. The sea was still warm enough to swim in even in mid-October, yet we also had decent winds. Again, this trip is in the school holidays with space for just 4 guests.shipsdog

Of course, you can always book 2 consecutive weeks!

We are also very open to putting together a tailor-made trip for your group e.g. a larger boat, dates of your choice (although it would keep our travel costs down if a bespoke week were to directly precede or follow one of our existing bookings).
