Day Skipper news
It’s been a very exciting first quarter for Sail YSL and compiling and delivering the first Day Skipper theory course rather overshadowed all other writing, hence the radio silence. Nick & Stefan, Sail YSL’s first two theory students, are now the proud holders of RYA Day Skipper theory certificates.
I have had a number of enquiries about the next Day Skipper course which I am trying to schedule for early May to take advantage of the upcoming bank holidays. The next dates will be 4 + 9-12 May. There are a few spaces available but we need just one more sign-up to ensure that the course runs, so if you are interested, please get in touch asap.
Summer sailing – skippered charters in Greece
Just imagine it…. a lazy breakfast, a gentle sail to anchor up in a secluded bay for lunch where you can swim straight off the back of the boat or have a barbecue on the beach, followed by another gentle sail to an overnight stop with a great and cheap dinner in the local taverna. And why not treat yourself to a pre-prandial G&T in the cockpit while you watch passers-by look on enviously? This idyllic way of life awaits you on our skippered charters.
Early-bird booking normally closes 3 months before the start date of each block, but as a special offer, I am extending early-bird booking for July until the end of April.
Summer sailing – Lake Zurich
Despite the weather, summer is just round the corner (I hope!) so it’s time to start thinking about getting on the water locally. Sail YSL has some exciting news coming up, including a larger training boat due for delivery in May, so if you are interested in dinghy sailing on Lake Zurich, now is the time to enquire.
I think I’ve made up for the radio silence now!
